    Delivery Information

    Please note while we send parcels with 'signature required' couriers may adjust their processes during the Coronavirus crisis. Delivery timescales by couriers may also be impacted due to the ever changing situation. Please use the tracking numbers to monitor the progress of your delivery. Depending on the destination of your order, allow an extra 2 -5 working days.

    Delivery within Australia

    For this free service, we use a mix of different couriers. Delivery is normally within 2 - 5 working days for metro areas and 2 - 7 working days for other locations.

    Free standard delivery will appear as a shipping option at checkout when your order value is over $100.

    This delivery method is sent via a mixture of couriers including Australia Post, Fastway and Couriers Please. 

    All deliveries are sent with tracking.

    Spend $20 or spend $90 and you will still just be charged the one flat delivery rate.

    The delivery rate can depend on the location and service selected but starts at $7.95 flat rate for standard delivery.

    Standard delivery service is approximately 2- 5 working days for metro areas and 2- 7 work days for other locations.

    All orders are sent with tracking information.

    There are a few options available to you -

    Next Business Day Metro Area Delivery between $20 and $25 depending on location- Where this service is available for your location your order will be sent with a courier service like DHL Express, TNT or Toll. Metro area is generally considered to be within 20km of the state capital city. This service is not available for PO Boxes or similar Australia Post services.

    Express 1 - 2 Day Metro Delivery flat rate of $15  - This is the Australia Post Express service. It is important to note that Australia Post does not guarantee a next day delivery service. Allow 1-2 days for metro area delivery and 3 - 4 days for remote areas. Use the Australia Post website to calculate the approximate time for this service.

    Local Delivery Sydney Same Day $30 - If you are within 20km of the Sydney Harbour Bridge then we can get your order delivered to you same day.

    To meet the courier collection timescales we need to have received your order by 11am Monday - Friday for it to leave that day.

    Select "Pick Up" under the delivery method section as you checkout.

    Your order will be ready for collection within 2 hours of it being placed during our  opening hours.

    We are located at 51 Darling St, Balmain East 2041.

    By selecting this option you can then come and collect your order at a convenient day and time that suites you during opening hours.

    We do not recommend an order is left instead of signed for.

    Please note that when authority to leave has been given, Bits of Australia and our couriers cannot accept responsibility or liability on the rare occasion that a parcel is lost or stolen after our couriers have recorded the package as 'successfully delivered'.  

    If you do decide you would like to have you parcel left by a courier then please leave instructions in the message box on the cart page before you checkout.

    Order by 11am Monday to Friday and receive your order by 7pm Same Day.

    Please note this service is only available to areas within 10 kilometres of Balmain NSW 2041.

    Gifts from Australia Delivered Worldwide

    Please note that some of the delivery options DO NOT include the duties and taxes payable at the destination country.

    When you place your order at checkout and have entered the international delivery address your shipping options and costs will be displayed. Once your order has been placed it will ship with 1 to 2 business days.

    Please note for some delivery options you may have to pay import duties depending on your country's import laws. This means for example in the UK -  if you are sending a gift to or ordering from the UK, the recipient will be charged VAT.  

    While the express service options do provide some limited support if your parcel is delayed by customs please note that the Basic Service  does not and you will be required to liaise directly with the international customs & shipping department to pay duties. We are not able to do this on your behalf.

    To help expedite deliveries please provide contact phone numbers for the recipient of the delivery.

    This delivery option is not able to delivery to PO Boxes, Locked Bags 

    Delivery timescales for metro areas are generally 2-5 business days and 3-10 business days for remote locations. Timescales may also vary during peak periods or factors outside of Bits of Australia and the couriers control such as weather, customs inspections and other international disruptions.

    All deliveries have tracking information so you can monitor the progress of your delivery and contact the delivery service company to discuss any delays.

    The BASIC SERVICE delivery rates DO NOT include duties and taxes that may be payable in the country you are sending too.

    For example posting to the UK - if you are sending a gift to or ordering from the UK, the recipient will be charged VAT

    Each country has their own rules and guidelines regarding prohibited items and import restrictions. We recommend you check postage regulations and customs information prior to placing your order. We cannot be held responsible for any delayed delivery or issues due to circumstances beyond our control such as Customs restrictions, incorrect address given, or any other unforeseen circumstances.

    While the Express service does provide support if your parcel is delayed by customs please note that the BASIC SERVICE does not and you will be required to liaise directly with the international postal and customs departments to pay duties. We are not able to do this on your behalf.

    It’s always best to speak with these authorities directly for more detailed information. They will have much better visibility into the whereabouts and status of the parcel once it has arrived, and can provide specific information into their unique delivery processes.

    Rates are based on destination and the cost and weight value of your order. 

    We will provide you with tracking information so that you can monitor your delivery and contact the courier company regarding any delays or redirections. We recommend deliveries are signed for.

    Bits of Australia will not be responsible for any orders that have been lost when authority to leave the parcel without a signature has been given. Nor will it be responsible if your order is returned as uncollected, had an incorrect address or was returned by sender.

    We understand that it isn't cheap sending parcels overseas.

    We are always monitoring what services are available to provide our customers with affordable, reliable and efficient services. The options we provide are based on this constant review and we do not make any profit on the the postage costs charged to you it is simply the costs we incur in getting the parcel delivered to you via the different methods.

    If you are unsure what delivery option you need let us help you before you place your order. Once your order has been sent it is dependent on the courier & postal service which we can't control. Use the tracking information we provide you to monitor the progress of your order and contact the courier company if your order hasn't been delivered within the estimated delivery timescale. If you have contacted the courier company (they will always give you an escalation reference number) and you are still having problems please let us know and provide us with your order number and the courier escalation number so we can investigate further.
