This original Aboriginal artwork by Evelyn Nangala Robertson depicts Ngapa Jukurrpa, also known as Water Dreaming, connected to Puyurru.

Ngapa Jukurrpa is an important Warlpiri Dreaming story associated with water, rain, storms and Country. Puyurru is a site west of Yuendumu in the Northern Territory, where the Dreaming tells of ancestral events connected to rain clouds, lightning, water soakages and the life-giving importance of water in the desert landscape.

This 76 x 76cm artwork is a vibrant and joyful piece, with colourful dot work that gives the painting an almost firework-like energy. The composition has a strong sense of movement and celebration, making it a beautiful statement artwork for a home, office or special Australian gift.

Evelyn Nangala Robertson is a Warlpiri artist known for her bold use of colour and distinctive interpretations of her Dreaming stories. Her work is often admired for its energy, confidence and contemporary feel while remaining deeply connected to Country and cultural storytelling.
