Lilly Pillies are native Australian trees, with smooth glossy leaves. The Lilly Pilly matures during the hot summer of December to February. It grows as a pear shaped red berry, called the Riberry, which grows to 13 mm long.  

Traditionally the Lilly Pilly was used raw as a medicine to treat certain aliments.

It's estimated there are up to 5,000 native food species (almost 20 per cent of Australia’s native flora and fauna) that were utilised by the Aboriginal people.
