Christine Upton live in a small rural town called Corowa that is nestled on the northern banks of the Murray River. She is a master lino block printmaker and her work ranges from abstract to representational, focusing on the exploration of patterns through lines, colours, and printing techniques. 

This print is of the Pink Galah which is found in large flocks in a variety of timbered habitats, usually near water. The Galah is one of the most abundant and familiar of the Australian parrots, occurring over most of Australia, including some offshore islands.
