Australian made Aboriginal art wooden coaster.

Sold individually the colourful coasters have been created by Bits of Australia through a collaboration with Australian makers and artists.

The wooden coaster has had stunning Aboriginal artwork by Evelyn Nangala Robertson printed on it. Evelyn paints with the Warlukurlangu Art Centre in Central Australia. The centre is a non-for-profit organisation that is 100% Aboriginal owned by its artists from the remote communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi.

Evelyn Nangala Robertson was born in 1986 in Alice Springs Hospital, the closest hospital to Yuendumu, a remote Aboriginal community 290 km north-west of Alice Springs in Australia. Evelyn has been painting with Warlukurlangu Artists since 2007. She mainly paints her Grandfather’s Jukurrpa stories, but also her Father’s and her Grandmother’s Jukurrpa, Dreamings which relate directly to her land, its features and the plants and animals that inhabit it.

The coaster makes a small ethical gift for Christmas. It is perfect for family, friends and corporate gifting. Lightweight it is also a unique Australian gift to send overseas.
