Limited edition Australian made wooden earrings.

The unique earrings have been made with sustainably grown Australian hoop pine plywood and feature a printed portion of 'Lappi Lappi Jukurrpa' (Lappi Lappi Dreaming), a painting by Aboriginal artist Christine Nakamarra Curtis

Christine was born into a family of artists. She is the eldest of 7 sisters and grew up in Nyirripi, a remote Aboriginal community. She began painting with Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation in 2007, which gives Warlpiri artists an outlet to paint their cultural heritage and earn an income from their work. She paints her grandparents’ dreaming on her mother’s side. These stories directly relate to her land, its features and the plants and animals that inhabit it, and they have been passed down through generations for many millennia.

Being a natural product the wood will have variances in colour and grain.

The stud earrings have surgical steel findings and are approximately 1cm square.

The beautiful earrings come in a small box with information about the artist and artwork.

To care for the jewellery keep it in the protective packaging and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth.

Royalties from this product directly benefit the Aboriginal artist Christine Nakamarra Curtis and his community.
