A striking original Aboriginal painting by Warlpiri artist Nola Napangardi Fisher, measuring 61 x 30cm. This Aboriginal artwork depicts Yuparli Jukurrpa (Bush Banana Dreaming), an important story connected to Warlpiri Country and traditional bush foods.

Nola Napangardi Fisher was born in 1958 in Yuendumu, a remote Aboriginal community in the Central Desert of Australia. She has been painting with Warlukurlangu Artists since 2004. Before becoming a full-time artist, Nola worked in community health, including running the clinic in Nyirripi and later working with the Department of Health in Yuendumu.

Nola paints several important Dreaming stories passed down through her family. These stories relate directly to the food, animals and features of her traditional Country. She continues to collect bush foods with other women and uses her paintings to share these stories with both her family and a wider audience.

At 61 x 30cm, this elongated format is ideal for narrower wall spaces or as part of a gallery-style display. It’s a beautiful piece of Australian Aboriginal art that brings colour, story and connection to your home or office.

Painted on canvas and supplied unstretched, the artwork offers flexibility when framing to suit your home. As the painting has been created from multiple directions, it can be stretched and displayed in different orientations.
