Returns & Exchanges

 

We want you to love your Australian Made purchase, but if you have changed your mind, you can return your item online or at any Bits of Australia store within 14 days inline with the policy below. 

Please remember to provide a receipt or proof of purchase when returning your item. Our team members are not responsible for proving your purchase. You must supply the proof of purchase, which our team members can validate.

If you have proof of purchase and the return meets our policy, we will be able to process an exchange (if available) or refund on the spot in any Bits of Australia shop.

Alternatively, you can lodge a return online by contacting us at hello@bitsof.com.au. 

Agreed  credits or refunds will be processed less the cost of postage from the original order, any gift wrapping costs we have incurred and a $6.50 handling fee.

Returns or exchanges must be in their original condition.

Products must be returned in their original condition. All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer and we recommend that you return the product via Registered post. 

Our policy does not exclude or replace your rights under Consumer Guarantees of the Australian Consumer Law, regulations or otherwise as required by law.

Returns, exchanges or refunds do not apply to the following  goods.

Products excluded from refunds, returns and exchanges 

  • Items taken out of their packaging
  • Items with damaged packaging
  • Altered items
  • Bits of Australia gift Cards and e-gift Cards
  • Custom orders where products were ordered in for you
  • Artwork framed to your requirements
  • Earrings
  • Food
  • Skincare
  • Face and eye masks
  • Melted chocolate
  • Personalised products (eg handwritten cards)
  • Clearance sales items
  • Our gift wrapping service
  • Part of a bundled gift box
  • Lost or stolen parcels where it was requested that the parcel be left and delivered without a signature

Eligible returns will be processed back to the original method of payment. If we are not able to do this, we will provide you with a Bits of Australia gift card to the value of  your refund. The card will be valid for three years from the date of issue. It can be used online or in-store for a future purchase.

Hot Weather

Please note that we do not use refrigerated delivery services. We cannot guarantee product integrity of chocolate and similar products in hot conditions. Please keep this in mind when ordering. We do not offer refunds, exchanges or replacements for damaged or melted chocolate.

Postal Returns

You assume any risk of loss, theft or damaged goods during transit; therefore we advise you take out shipment registration of insurance with your postal carrier. Bits of Australia will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.

Refunds are not processed until goods are received by Bits of Australia and confirmed to be in their original condition.

Uncollected or Wrong Address Returns

It's important that you use the tracking information that we provide to monitor the progress of your delivery. If products you have ordered are returned to Bits of Australia via the delivery services as uncollected, wrong address or returned by sender, we will contact you and refund the cost of your order less:

  • $6.50 return handling fee Australian delivery (this is only part of what we are charged by the courier)
  • gift wrapping and handwritten card service costs

International Deliveries

We are unable to refund or replace your order if one of the following occurs -

  • you or the intended recipient do not pay any international duties and taxes that are due
  • an incorrect address has been given
  • you, or the recipient has requested the parcel to be left without a signature and it has been lost or stolen
  • the item is not collected from the relevant postal service within their standard timescales (generally 10 working days after arrival)
