Ready to Hang Aboriginal Art for Sale, Sydney.

This original Aboriginal artwork by Judith Nungarrayi Martin depicts Janganpa Jukurrpa (Brush-tail Possum Dreaming) from Mawurrji. This Dreaming tells the story of the brush-tail possum (janganpa) and its travels across Country, an important narrative within Warlpiri culture that relates to ancestral journeys, place and law.

Judith Nungarrayi Martin was born in 1976 in Alice Springs and grew up in Yuendumu, a remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory. She comes from a strong family of artists, including her mother Helen Nampijinpa Robertson and grandfather Shorty Jangala Robertson. Judith has been painting with Warlukurlangu Artists since 1994, having grown up watching her family paint and listening to their stories. She later began painting full time, motivated by a desire to share these stories and pass them on to her children.

At 30 x 30cm and ready to hang, this piece is a versatile size, well suited to smaller spaces or as part of a collection. It offers a meaningful way to bring both colour and cultural story into your home or office, or as an authentic Australian souvenir or gift.

This artwork is available to view at our Balmain East store, or can be purchased online for delivery Australia-wide.
