This authentic Indigenous canvas is 76 x 61cm in size and is from Central Australia. Delivered rolled up you can choose how and when you want to display it.

This painting is titled Yarungkanyi Jukurrpa (Mt Doreen Dreaming) and it was created by Aboriginal artist Hazel Nungarrayi Morris who paints with the Warlukurlangu art centre at Yuendumu in Central Australia.

The site of this Dreaming story is at Mt Doreen, north-west of Yuendumu where Hazel lives and works. The actions and journeys of Dreamtime ancestors created landforms, flora and fauna which we can see in the lanscape today. Dreamtime people lived at Mt Doreen and would dig for bush carrots, which created a creek flowing north. In the story depicted here by Hazel's modern and colourful interpretation, the women were travelling south whilst searching for bush tucker and prickles which they made into hair combs.

A beautiful Australian gift or special piece of art for you to enjoy.
