Sea Egg Wooden Eco Necklace
Approximate weight including packaging 0.14kg
Adorn yourself with treasures from ancient forests near and far. This collection features Tasmanian specialty timbers including Huon Pine, Myrtle, Eucalyptus, Blackwood and Sassafras…Off cuts that have been diligently collected from craftspeople and artisans and transformed into individual beautiful beads.
For a statement piece not to be forgotten, a pop of colour has been added using the vibrant Tagua seeds, found in the swampy shadows of the tropical rainforest in South America. The Tagua seeds are collected by women in rural communities, cleaned, polished and dyed. Over the decades the Tagua seeds have become an important natural resource helping to improve the standard of living in the most impoverished of rural communities - while also protecting the forest in which they grow…saving the planet one bead at a time.
The beads are strung onto leather thread with a maximum drop of approximately 40-43cm - shorten as desired!
Due to the organic nature of the beads each necklace will vary slightly.
Made in Tasmania, Australia.
