Indigenous Wine Holder - Colours of the Reef

Gift Wrap Options

An Indigenous Australia gift that you can use to carry your wine to a bbq in or to gift a friend, family member or business colleague a special Australian wine.

Not only is the wine holder made in Australia but it is also a great alternative to gift wrapping a bottle of wine and it can be used again and again!

Royalties from the sale of the product also directly benefit the artist Colin Jones and his family.

The artwork on the neoprene wine holder is "Colours of the Reef". This is depicted by the blue Aboriginal dot painting and sea turtle - the effect is almost of a turtle swimming amongst the churn and bubbles of the sea.

The artist Colin Jones was born in 1947 in Ipswich, Queensland, and is of Kaladoon and Nunuckle tribal descent. Colin’s Aboriginal name is Ko-Ro, which means Brolga wings. As a young boy, Colin learned to paint from his grandfather.

Besides painting, Colin teaches history and culture all over the world. He has taught at University of Honolulu and University of Hilo, Hawaii as well as Germany, France and England. He has also lectured at the UN. Currently, Colin helps troubled youths at Goori house, an addiction treatment centre in Queensland.

Colin’s art has been exhibited in leading galleries in Europe, America, Great Britain and Australia.
