The original Aboriginal artwork makes a special Australian gift for and family and friends overseas for special birthdays or as a wedding present.

Agnes Nampijinpa Fry was born in 1965 in Yuendumu, a remote community located 290kms north-west of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. Agnes was schooled in Yuendumu and still lives there today. She is married to Stephen Jakamarra Walker, the son of the famous Warlpiri artist Liddy Napanangka Walker. She paints her father’s Jukurrpa stories, Dreamings relating directly to her land, its features and animals. These stories were passed down to her by her father and her grandfather and their fathers for millennia. When Agnes is not painting she likes to go hunting for bush tucker, particularly Bush Currants.

Sale of this artwork directly benefits the artist and the Warlukurlangu Artist community.

The painting is accompanied by a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity which tells the story related to the painting and some information about the artist.

This original Aboriginal artwork is from the Warlukurlangu Art Centre. Established in 1985 Warlukurlangu is a not-for-profit organisation that is 100% Aboriginal-owned by its artists from the remote desert communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi in Central Australia.

Warlukurlangu Artists is famous for its gloriously colourful acrylic paintings. The art centre has a national and international profile and its art has been featured in hundreds of exhibitions and publications in Australia and around the world.
