The 46cm x 30cm canvas is an authentic Indigenous artwork from Central Australia. Delivered rolled up you can choose how and when you want to display it.
The original Aboriginal artwork makes a special Australian gift for family and friends overseas for special birthdays or as a wedding present.
The painting is titled Warlukurlangu Jukurrpa (Fire country Dreaming) by Theo (Faye) Nangala Hudson at Warlukurlangu artists.
Faye was born in 1989 in Alice Springs Hospital, the closest hospital to Nyirripi, a remote Aboriginal community located 440 km north-west of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. When she left school she did odd jobs and later joined the Nyirripi Night Patrol, a service that provides safe transportation; diversion from contact with the criminal justice system; and intervention to prevent disorder in communities. Theo began painting with Warlukurlangu in 2002, when she was 13 years of age.
Established in 1985 Warlukurlangu is a not-for-profit organisation that is 100% Aboriginal-owned by its artists from the remote desert communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi in Central Australia. Warlukurlangu Artists is famous for its gloriously colourful acrylic paintings and limited edition prints. The art centre has a national and international profile and its art has been featured in hundreds of exhibitions and publications in Australia and around the world.
