This acrylic painting is titled Karnta Jukurrpa which translates to 'Womens Dreaming', painted by Aboriginal artist Cecily Napanangka Marshall.

Cecily was born in 1975 in Alice Springs and was raised with her brothers and sisters by her Grandmother, after their mother passed away when Cecily was young. She is a single mum with one daughter who is in primary school, and Cecily now paints full time with the Warlukurlangu art centre. She paints her Grandmother and Grandfather's Dreaming stories which have been passed down for millennia, and one of her favourite things to paint is Women's Dreaming from her Grandmother's side.

Established in 1985 Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit organisation that is 100% Aboriginal-owned by its artists from the remote desert communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi in Central Australia. Warlukurlangu Artists is famous for its gloriously colourful acrylic paintings and limited edition prints. The art centre has a national and international profile and its art has been featured in hundreds of exhibitions and publications in Australia and around the world.

Sale of this artwork directly benefits the artist and the Warlukurlangu Artist community. Every painting is accompanied by a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity which tells the story relating to the painting and some information about the artist.
