This stunning painting is titled Janganpa Jukurrpa (Brush-Tail Possum Dreaming). It has been pained by Antonia Napangardi Michaels at Warlukurlangu artists.

Antonia Napangardi Michaels was born on the 6 March 1998 in Alice Springs Hospital. She is the daughter of Andrea Nungarrayi Wilson and Chris Japanangka Michaels and granddaughter of Alice NampijinpaHenworth, all major Warlpiri artists. She started painting at 12. Antonia continues the family tradition of artists painting her Grandmother’s Lappi Lappi Jukurrpa(Lappi Lappi Dreaming) and her father’s Janganpa Jukurrpa (Bush-tailed Possum Dreaming), stories which relate directly to her land, its features and the plants and animals that inhabit it. 

Established in 1985 Warlukurlangu is a not-for-profit organisation that is 100% Aboriginal-owned by its artists from the remote desert communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi in Central Australia. Warlukurlangu Artists is famous for its gloriously colourful acrylic paintings and limited edition prints. The art centre has a national and international profile and its art has been featured in hundreds of exhibitions and publications in Australia and around the world.
