Limited edition Australian made wooden earrings.

The unique earrings have been made with sustainably grown Australian hoop pine plywood and feature a printed portion of Margaret Nangala Gallagher's artwork 'Yankirri Jukurrpa' (Emu Dreaming).

This stunning original acrylic painting titled Yankirri Jukurrpa (Emu Dreaming)was painted by Margaret Nangala Gallagher. She paints with her mother and learnt to paint watching her mother and other people in the community painting. She particularly enjoys painting with her mother as it is an opportunity for her and her mother to share their Jukurrpa stories, Dreamings passed down to her by her father and mother and their parents before them for millennia. Margaret paints her Yankirri Jakurrpa (Emu Dreaming) from her father’s side and this Jukurrpa story belongs to Jangala/Jampijinpa men and Nangala/Nampijinpa women.

Being a natural product the wood will have variances in colour and grain.

The stud earrings have surgical steel findings and are approximately 1cm square.

The beautiful earrings come in a small box with information about the artist and artwork.

To care for the jewellery keep it in the protective packaging and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth.

Royalties from this product directly benefit the Aboriginal artist Margaret Nangala Gallagher's community.
