Original Aboriginal Painting – Carmelina Napanangka Marshall (61 x 30cm, Unstretched)

Visit our Australian souvenir shop in Manly to view this beautiful Aboriginal artwork in person, or purchase it online.

A striking original Aboriginal artwork by Warlpiri artist Carmelina Napanangka Marshall, measuring 61 x 30cm and presented unstretched. The artwork reflects the distinctive visual language of contemporary Aboriginal art, where pattern, colour and rhythm represent stories of Country and cultural knowledge passed through generations.

Carmelina Napanangka Marshall is a Warlpiri artist associated with Warlukurlangu Artists in Yuendumu, a community well known for its strong painting tradition. Her artworks often feature finely layered dot work and flowing forms that represent the landscape, water sources and ancestral journeys connected to Warlpiri Country. Through repeated patterns and careful composition, her paintings share stories that have been passed down through generations.

At 61 x 30cm, this elongated format creates a distinctive visual presence while remaining an accessible size to display in a variety of spaces. It also makes a meaningful and authentic Australian souvenir or gift, offering visitors the opportunity to take home a genuine piece of Aboriginal art.

Painted on canvas and supplied unstretched, the artwork offers flexibility when framing to suit your home. As the painting has been created from multiple directions, it can be stretched and displayed in different orientations.

This painting is currently available to view in person at our Manly store for those who would like to experience the texture and detail of the artwork up close. It is also available to purchase online, with free standard delivery within Australia and worldwide shipping available.

Each artwork is a one-of-a-kind piece created by the artist and accompanied by documentation confirming the story and authenticity of the work.

How The Art Is Sourced

This artwork comes from Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation in Yuendumu, Central Australia. Established in 1985, it is one of the longest running Aboriginal-owned art centres and operates as a 100% Aboriginal-owned, not-for-profit organisation.

More than 600 artists from Yuendumu, Nyirripi and surrounding communities contribute their work. Warlukurlangu is renowned for its colourful acrylic paintings and limited-edition prints, which have been exhibited nationally and internationally.

The name “Warlukurlangu” means “belonging to fire” in the Warlpiri language. The centre exists to maintain and share Indigenous culture, support artists, and pass traditions to future generations.
