Limited edition Australian made wooden earrings.

The unique earrings have been made with sustainably grown Australian hoop pine plywood and feature a printed portion of Ben Jangala Gallagher's artwork'Yankirri Jukurrpa' (Emu Dreaming).

Ben is a successful Aboriginal artist born in Yuendumu, a remote Indigenous community in the Northern Territory of Australia. He moved to Nyirripi with his family in 1978 where his mother began painting with the Warlukurlangu Aboriginal Artists Corporation. After he left school, Ben became a carpenter and travelled around the country building houses. In 2007 he followed in his mother’s footsteps and began to paint for Warlukurlangu Artists. His wife, Sarah Napurrurla White, is also an artist. Ben says “I like painting, because it is my dreaming”. He paints his Jukurrpa stories which relate directly to his land and its features, animals and plants.

Being a natural product the wood will have variances in colour and grain.

The stud earrings have surgical steel findings and are approximately 1cm square.

The beautiful earrings come in a small box with information about the artist and artwork.

To care for the jewellery keep it in the protective packaging and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth.

Royalties from this product directly benefit the Aboriginal artist Ben Jangala Gallagher his community.
