This Yarla Jukurrpa (Bush Potato Dreaming) comes from an area to the east of Yuendumu called Cockatoo Creek. Yuendumu is in the Central Desert of Australia and is located 290km north west from Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. ‘Yarla’ (bush potato [Ipomea costata]) are fibrous tubers that grow beneath a low spreading plant, found by looking for cracks in the ground.

Warlukurlangu Artists is famous for its gloriously colourful acrylic paintings. The art centre has a national and international profile and its art has been featured in hundreds of exhibitions and publications in Australia and around the world.
