This painting is called Ngatijirri Jukurrpa (Budgerigar Dreaming) by Warlukurlangu artist Kenneth Jungarrayi Martin. Kenneth began painting with the art centre in Yuendumu in 2011 and says that he enjoys painting because it makes him feel relaxed. He paints alongside his wife and they work together to create their paintings, with Kenneth creating the base design using his father's Dreaming and his wife adding the dot painting style. Sadly Kenneth's parents passed away when he was young, so he was raised by other family members and his grandfather Mosquito Morris was the one to show him the designs and shapes that depict his country, allowing him to be able to paint his interpretation of his father's Dreamtime stories today.
