This original Aboriginal artwork by Tina Napangardi Martin depicts Jintiparnta Jukurrpa, also known as Desert Truffle Dreaming, connected to Mina Mina.

Jintiparnta refers to the desert truffle, a native bush food found in the desert after rain. This Dreaming comes from Mina Mina, an important ceremonial site west of Yuendumu and close to the Western Australia border. The area is associated with women’s Dreaming stories, soakages, sandhills, desert oaks and the ancestral journeys connected to Country.

Tina Napangardi Martin was born in Yuendumu in the Northern Territory and has painted with Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation for many years. She began painting with the art centre in the 1990s and later returned to painting more regularly from 2007, after also working with screen printing and batik. Her work is connected to Warlpiri Jukurrpa stories and often brings together strong pattern, colour and cultural storytelling.

This 76 x 61cm artwork is a beautiful size for adding original Aboriginal art to a home, office or meaningful Australian gift. It has enough presence to work as a feature piece, while still being an easy size to frame and display in a range of interiors.

Currently available to view at our Balmain store, this original artwork is a lovely option for anyone looking to buy Aboriginal art with a strong Dreaming story and a connection to Country.

This artwork is supplied unstretched and rolled, giving you flexibility with framing and making it easier to send within Australia or overseas.
