Spotlight on Brisbane - Australia's Hippest City October 14 2015
The largest travel book publisher in the world, Lonely Planet, recently referred to Brisbane as the hippest city in the world. With its edgy arts scene, exciting nightlife, and abundance of both sunshine and outdoor adventures to be had, this booming city has a lot to offer residents and tourists alike.
Beautiful One Day, Perfect The Next
Brisbane's sub-tropical climate makes it the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors all year round. The wide Brisbane River winds through the centre of the city, making the perfect backdrop for a plethora of water sports and other adventurous activities. From kayaking and canoeing to a relaxing ferry ride, there are so many different ways you can enjoy the city's iconic waterway.
Fit and tanned locals get up early to go for a run, swim or bike ride. When it gets too hot to stay outside, you can immerse yourself in the cultural hub of bookshops, restaurants, cafes, bars, live theatres and art galleries.
Often referred to as the 'City of Sun Days'‚ this sun-kissed, sophisticated city and the twisting Brisbane River and are featured on our Supertrooper Brisbane cushion cover, Superplaces poster and Greeting card.
This sunny and bright illustration of Brisbane includes everything from pineapples and palm trees to Paddington. If you look closely you can make out icons like the The Old Mill and the Story Bridge, as well as Queenslander houses with beautiful verandas and a Moreton bay bug. The illustration is inspired by travels to Brisbane and sunny days spent enjoying the city and river.
Life in Brisvegas
Brisbanians love to spend their free time having picnics and barbecues in South Bank Parklands and sunbaking on the man-made Streets Beach. Other major Brisbane attractions include the Alma Park Zoo, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the Story Bridge Adventure Climb, and 870m long Brisbane Riverwalk. These and more of Brisbane's incredible scenery and sights are captured in glossy photos in our 2016 Brisbane Calendars.
They make the perfect souvenir to help you remember your Australian adventure or inspire your friends to visit Australia's hippest city.
Another great Brisbane momento which is also extremely useful is the travel card holder from by me for you pictured here above. Covered in the streets of greater Brisbane, these card holders are a great way to hold your Myki, Oyster or other travel cards, and even business cards. They are light-weight and the perfect size to carry in your pocket, purse or bag.
